History
In 1913, at the age of 26, Albert Edward LePage founded A.E LePage, later to become Royal Lepage. This made him the first Realtor® in Canada. His belief in personal service and commitment to innovation transformed real estate in this country. He knew that this was the foundation to a successful business.

At Royal Lepage, it in not just about business transactions. From the beginning we have been actively involved in charitiable work and social causes. This started as far back as the Founder, Albert LePage. In 1929, LePage took a bet and won when he built and sold a 5-bedroom bungalow in ajust one single day. The hosue was auctioned at the end of that day for $2,500 with all the money going to charity.

Following this example, Jody Lavoie is taking on a new, innovative challlenge for Charitiy, much like that of LePage's 79 years ago. Jody has purchased a home in Ottawa. Using the help of past clients and volunteers, he is renovating the home. Once the renovations have all been completed, Jody will sell the home and donated all profits to his featured Charities.

Just like LePage, Jody finds it important to not only find new wats to help serve his clients better and grow his business, but he also wants to help his community and local charities. The Renovation Challenge is a new way for Ottawa Charities to raise funds and awarenes in our community. By combining the forces of the Ottawa Real Estate Market, local Charities, volunteers, local contractors and trades people, the Renovation Challenege will raise tens of thousands of dollars for the Charities involved.

Our approach is new and exciting. Because this type of event has never been seen in Ottawa, it will certainly attract interest and create buzz in the community.
